Losing Time

Sorry been a long time in between yarns, have to say I've lacked the motivation to write of late and I cannay wait to see the back of 2005. I'm not usually one for wishing my life away, but I have to say I'm looking forward to a new year and hopefully one that has not has as much tragedy as 2005.

For those wondering how the trip to Eire went, well unfortunately my uncle Kieran passed away, October 2nd, aged 47years. We were in transit, and found out after landing in London. But I am happy to say that I was able to attend the funeral and take part in a send off that I'm sure he was sad to be missing out on. It wont be the same in Kilbeg or Clonbur for that matter for me or the rest of the family.

I did get the chance to meet up with some close friends, have a few ol pinteens and have the craic, cheers to all the gang that made it to the removal and burial, meant a lot to me and cheers to all the gang who traveled. Twas great to see ye as usual, pity bout the circumstances and I hope that next time we meet it will be on a happier occasion.

unfortunately upon returning to Oz, good friend Tash was also going through her own period of heartache with her Mum being admitted to hospital after complaints of a headache, turned out to be a brain aneurism and she too passed away at age 46 in Newcastle.

So I guess ya never never know and at the end of it, there is really not a lot I can say, what with losing 2 uncles this year, Kieran Finn and Pat Cosgrove, and friends David Laffey, Michael Josie and Mattie Conway, I'm numb. So forgive me if I've forgotten your birthday, the birth of your child or other day that I'm usually pretty good for remembering. Oh and I'm also blaming it on the fact that I've lost my little diary and everyone's birthday etc... so hey email me your details and stuff and stuff... Oh and roll on 2006
