Sean Casey's Cottage

Ballynoonagh - Clonbur, Co.Galway

This is the site of my Grandfather, Sean Casey's thatch cottage.
The last time I was at this site the thatch had fallen partly in, the bed in the loft was still made and covered with a big patched quilt, I was 10 years old.

18 years later and the cottage once again stands proud and Im sure my grandfather would be looking down and pleased that it has been restored. The cottage has maintained its homely feel and is a credit to Geroid & Collette Burke and all who worked on it, including my own Uncle Tommie.
