Ms Beth Orton, babies, weddings! But no spare toes this year on tour....

howdy campers and welcome to March....
......and what a March its been!!! First of all went to see beth orton play on the 5th at the metro theatre in sydney. BRILLIANT. she rocks! what more can i say only that i was overwhelmed by such a great performance! so much so that i went again with a few mates on the 12th March. And the show was even better, this girl can sing thats for sure!

so a few tasty beverages were had after the gig and who came out to join us?? yes ms beth orton herself made an appearance out with the masses which had pretty much cleared and then there was a big of a session to be had in the other room with a funky dj, so we all drank and drank some more then went out dancing and beth asked if she could join kate, daniel, english sarah and I, (bear in mind I had bought her a cheap plastic glass of red wine when she had first come out, oh yeh im all class!) and this is were things get a little hazy, i was chatting to her for ages and not really 100% sure of what was said, but she is very chatty, lovely and all the trimmings and for me to have met her in de flesh was unreal, but wait there is more! ended up even getting a jive out of her! she cant dance but who cares when you have a voice like that!!!! oh and i even got a wee kiss, which someone else got very jealous over!!

well in my last update Rachel was just about to have another baby and Rina was throwing on the frock and ready to waltz down the aisle.... so what happened i hear you ask? well rach was due on sat the 15th of feb and come sunday there was still no movement, so what better way to get some movement than to goto fairday in victoria park, (for those not aware of fairday tis the poofs picnic where are the scary lesbians bring out there dogs for a dog show and all the poofs just parade themselves) twas a hot day so many beverages were called for and everyone was cooled down by a huge shower of rain which then led to everyone wrestling and throwing water on each other...

Rach and Jim and Isla headed home while the rest of us partied on and headed to oxford st where things became very messy indeed... off to stonewall, now there is some reports that i knocked a drag queen off the stage during her show and knocked her wig off as well, the fact that i cant remember any of this at all mite just get me off the hook on this one!!! thankfully i was rescued and taken home and put straight to bed!!

Monday and still no sign of the baby... so we had a bring on the baby bbq and at 3.30am the following morning that phonecall came from Rach, "now dont panic but its all happening" so jump in me wagon and off to pick the crew up and bring them all to the hospital.. As Feargal said it must of been the marinated chicken that got it all going!! so we arrived at the hospital at 4am and the midwife checks rach out, the fact she was laughiing through the contractions the midwife thought she would have to go home another while and sit it out, i was thinking to myself no way knowing my luck the baby will be born in the car on the way home,

but as it turned out they kept her in and before too long there was a wee man on the scene! it was a totally amazing experience and one that i will never forget!! still spinning out! 7.25am and with no drugs ( i think ya got ripped off rach) out was baby number 2 !!!

So from a high about that it was now time for Rina and Pa to tie the knot! and what a great day was had by all, Rina and joanne and tara all looked absolutely beautiful and the day went brilliantly! all de best pa and Rina! twas great to catch up with all de cork men!

so wit Paddys Day just round de corner tis hard to believe that a year has flown by since the maddest pub crawl around headford ive ever been on "spare toes on tour" i wont be part of this year, so im going to hit sydney wit a bang instead!! starting tonight in the rocks and dragging myself all the way through until next monday!! well i supose you could say we started the irish festive season a little earlier, having gone to see the riverdance last night in newcastle, must say they can fairly tap them toes!!
