Ladytron - Luminous Festival - Sydney Opera House

There is something magical about seeing a performance at the Opera House. I love it.

Walking down the Quay with the Luminous Festival in full swing added that something extra.

Sydney is alive with light and music. There is a change in the air... Sydney is finally getting its act together and the creative forces are gathering, making things happen, and its great. Its a good time to be in the harbour city. Lots of great little festivals, exhibitions, bands and venues, farmers markets, artists markets, new bikeways and lots of history.

The Brain Eno curated Luminous festival brought June alive. So many great acts and an Aussie Icon lit up in an amazing series of colors. I had seen Ladytron at the Metro last year and to be honest, it was a school night and it was hard to get into them. Ladytron at the Opera House was another story entirely. They put on an intense performance that was tight and left you wanting more.

Dragged Nicola who was touring with Grada, to not only her first gig at the Opera House but also her first electro gig. The fact this folkie wanted to hear the CD when she got home and threw it on the next day as well I think says it all! Another electro convert!
