Veruca Salt - Gaelic Club, Sydney

Since last seen Down Under, in July of 2003, I was delighted to be able to get to the Veruca Salt gig at the Gaelic Club, must say good venue and nice crowd atmosphere (first time at the venue since the old Irish National Association started as s gig spot).
Lead singer Louise Post and band were in fine form indeed, belting out tracks from there previous three albums and bringing me on a trip down memory lane. There guys rock and know how to keep the crowd going with crowd favorites and just the right amount of new stuff for good measure and give us a taste of what to expect from the forthcoming album.
Now Im not a gig writer so ill finish up here, oh I should make mention of Decoder Star, Japanese rock band who were a bloody nice little opener, my only disappointment for the night was that the bar ran out of cider! Ah well, Ill let them know Im coming the next time, and thankfully the Imperial in Erskineville had plenty!
